About US-Asia Business Forum

US Asia Forum (USABF) is a platform established by the leaders of the Asian Community in US with an objective of promoting trade, commerce, investments and joint ventures between these two continents with the focus on US-Asia and Intra Asia trade..

Objectives

USABF strives to bring together, business leaders, diplomats, Governments, bureaucrats, trade and development organization on one platform by organizing trade & investment fairs and exhibition in various locations across Asia and the US initiating multilateral visits to various countries to facilitate new investments and ventures.

The USABF is committed for social and community development especially in the areas of education, healthcare, hygiene, woman & child development through the network of local NGO’s and international foundations.

Significance :

The US with a GDP of more than $ 14 trillion (roughly 30% of the worlds GDP) is the economic and business power house of the world maintaining a high per capita compared to other countries. The US attracts the best talent in the world by propagating freedom, democracy & competition by offering avenues in global research & development, International trade and venture funding.

Asia on the other hand having three quarters of the world population has a huge human potential if trained skillfully can be converted to human capital maintaining international service standards.

Asian countries now are awakening to integrate economies with neighboring countries and forge trade partnerships for US – Asia and intra Asia business.

The historic victory of President Barrack Obama has given renewed hope to smaller Asian countries in the areas of economic cooperation. His administration looks forward to work with the Asian leaders to promote trade and investment, support economic recovery and sustainable development, and address key challenges facing the region and the world. Recent Asia tours of the Secretary of State Hon. Hillary Clinton were aimed at ironing out trade differences and solving political conflicts in various parts of Asia.

The recent economic crisis has created atmosphere of gloom in the world and particularly in America and also on the interdependent Asia. Even though it seems like the recession is very likely over, it is facing record unemployment and shrinking business confidence particularly amongst Asian countries who are major service providers to the US.

Therefore leaders of the Asian community in Los Angeles established the US Asia Business Forum in 2005 resolving to promote increased trade with the US and sustainable development in Asia.
